After graduating from Norwich School of Art with a Fine Art’s degree, I perhaps surprisingly pursued a career in Finance. Several years later in 2006 (after my first child was born and I had moved to Coggeshall) I decided to retrain as a Montessori Teacher. She preferred a quieter environment and we went along to the Montessori treasure basket classes from the age of 6 months. It was here that I met Sarah and she suggested that I enrol in her teacher training course!
Fast forward a few years and my daughter was thriving at Absolute Angels. It was easy to love the philosophy, ethos and method of teaching, as I could see it working first hand. After my son was born in 2010, I left Angels to set up my own Montessori Childminding business and I was thrilled to be awarded an Outstanding rating by Ofsted. It was a hugely rewarding way to support both my son and the other younger children in my care, whilst they were too young to attend the local nurseries.
For the past few years, I have been volunteering in the classroom at our local Primary School and have enjoyed the role as Secretary for their PTA, getting involved with all of the various fundraising activities.
Recently I decided to make a return to the team at Absolute Angels and I am thoroughly enjoying being back. Every day is an opportunity to learn and discover alongside the children and it is a privilege and a pleasure to share my time with them all.
