A Day in the Life at Absolute Angels
8am or 9am:
Arrival at Nursery
With support from parents, children are encouraged to hang their coats and bags on their own peg and enter the classroom to begin the day.
9am – 12pm:
The Work Cycle
The children have free access to the extensive range of tactile Montessori equipment.
They will work on self-selected tasks that engage their natural curiosity. These include:
- Life skills
- The world around you
- Creative art
During the work cycle each child has the freedom to move around both inside and outside. We have a fully functioning, extensively equipped outdoor classroom, as well as a safe and secure playground.
In order to foster independence, everyone is able to access a healthy snack from the snack table by themselves at any time.
Our wonderful team of local story tellers read from our extensive selection of books.
Children who attend the afternoon sessions arrive.
The children bring packed lunches and sit together with the teachers to enjoy a communal lunch.
1pm – 2.45pm
We offer the freedom for children to choose their tasks for the afternoon. All children are encouraged to spend time outdoors. In addition we offer a number of extended opportunities including:
- Kitchen skills
- Sensory exploration
- Exploratory art
Children are collected from nursery.
2.45pm to 6pm
Wraparound care available until 6pm including light tea.
